Dear Members:

Will it be spring soon?  The calendar tells us it is May but so far we've had very few warm days.  

The board members of the Schwaben Verein have been busy but enjoyed attending several functions of other Vereine in the Chicago area.  In order to have the clubs attend our Fest, we also support their affairs. So if you go to other dances, please let them know that you are a member of the Schwaben Verein. 

Our 128th Canstatter Volksfest or Schwaben Fest will be held on Saturday and Sunday August 20th and 21st.  By popular demand we are bringing back our friends from Germany, the band "Die Fidelen Kichheimer".  As you all well know, putting on a Fest takes lots of volunteers, so if you have a couple of free hours, please give me a call.  Even though we have to work, we still have fun amongst ourselves, either working in the outside kitchen or selling raffle or food and drink tickets.  So please think about it, it will be very much appreciated.

Sadly, some of our members have not mailed in their dues for this year,  I ask you to please do so, or notify me if you no longer wish to be one of us.

Finally, I invite you to attend our next meeting on Sunday, June 12th at 2 PM in our Verein home the Schwaben Center.
